On another very windy Oklahoma Saturday, I took to the blue, cloudless sky in my little Cessna 172 but this time I was carrying an FAA Examiner for my final check ride. After lots of study and practice it was time. The ATIS indicated that the surface winds were 24 knots, gusting to 33, and the winds aloft (at 3000+) were 45-52. The rising heat made for a bumpy ride but after demonstrating all the required manuvers completing 5 landings, including a power-off glide from 4000 feet up, I finally did it! Proof you need? Here it is my temporary Private Pilot Certificate! Anyone want to go fly? Pixie Dust optional!

FINALLY!!! Sounds like some fun weather to be testing in. I'm up for a flight (obviously) it's been a while since I was in front of the controls (right or left seat) of a real plane. Keep up the good work! So when are you going to start on your instrument rating? I'll let you use my books since it'll be a while till I'll need to be refreshed on on that info, that should help you save a little dough.
Weeeeeeeeeee!!!
YEA FOR YOU!!! We are all so very proud of our (Technically, since the only thing holding you up was bad weather!) first- flyer-of-the-family! I am looking forward to my first flight with a family flyer in a funny flying machine. (Oops. Too much time in 2nd grade using illiterations, but it's fun just the same!)
Congratulations!
I'm next! Getting my PPL, that is. :)
Not if I beat you to it! I might have given Cameron a chance at beating me, but I can't let two siblings beat me to it!
Congrats on the accomplishment. How exciting! When you flying to Utah next?
Matt, whatever you do, don't let me beat you!
Matthew, you will prolly beat me, but there's no way NATCH will beat you to it! Ha! I will beat him though. :)
I think pigs will start flying before Natch will ever fly, so I'm not to worried about that, funny thing though, I think he was the first to start studying for the PPL test back in High school.
Well Matt, you know it is totally possible for Fred to go for it, I mean, after all this 'Swine Flu' sound like the pigs have flown so now Fred can too!
