I'm taking the plunge!

After much thought and serious discussion, I have decided that come June, I will officially become a homeowner. Most of you have already heard my crazy idea, seeing as how I am seeking out all views and opinions on the matter, knowing that it is a HUGE responsibility and not one to take lightly. But, I plan on living in Utah for the next 4-5 years as I complete my schooling and continue working at Fink and McGregor, and I'm tired of throwing my money away on rent.

So although a few months down the road, I am announcing this now because I want it to actually be reality and by telling everyone, then I am accountable to make it happen. And, I can get your input along the way (Darcey, you're gonna have to come visit to tell me how to decorate the place). :)

Anyway, I'm sure to keep you all up to date on the progress I'm making. For now, I spend my days at work talking to a realtor and having him e-mail me listings to look at. When I find something, I'll let you know!

I GET TO TAKE A TEST!!!

Looks like there were some good times over there in Utah, wish I could have been there. Oh well. It's been a while since I've posted anything, but there's not much to post yet. Well, christy's book as you all know will be out in May. However, we are changing the Title and serires name, I think in the next few days I'll post a few options to see what you all think is the best choice to help market the book.
Well, just today I received an e-mail that I'm authorized to take the AT-SAT (Air traffic- selection and training test) for ATC hiring. Its a hard test that I'll need to get a 70% or better, and people who've graduated from the ATC schools rarely get above a 90%. So it would be nice to have a few more prayers that as I study the next few weeks that the info will stick. I don't know when or where yet, but should know in the next few weeks, I might be heading out to OK city for it, so heads up Cameron. Thanks!!!

Silliness Ensues...

Naturally, when we kids get together, we have to act a little silly...you know, just like the good ol' times! :)
Cameron stayed overnight on Valentine's Day in Syracuse and we all stayed up watching silly YouTube videos, and we snapped a few Kodak moments while we were at it.
Saturday night I took the kiddies out on the town for Date Night with Aunt Carrie. We saw "Alvin and the Chipmunks," and afterwards we stopped by at Hogi Yogi's for some frozen yogurt. Yum!
Oh, and I finally got my hair done. The last pic is compliments of Emma. :)

Bear Lake adventure

Not to be out done, a couple of weeks ago we were in Sam's and they had a snowshoe sale. Your mother thought she'd like to try it out so we opted for a pair. Of course I couldn't take her last weekend due to the other hike...

... so yesterday we took a little time for fun and headed up to Rocky Mtn. Natl. Park. She said she actually had some fun. You may have to ask her when I'm not around for the whole truth.

It was fun. We didn't go too far and had a little picnic up a little ravine 'cause there were just toooo many people on the main trail.

10th Mountain Hut Snowshoe trip

Last week I enjoyed snowshoeing near Leadville. Randy Baker came with me on Thursday night and we braved I-70 in a blinding snowstrom but made it OK. We stayed that night in Leadville and then hiked in about 5 miles to one of the 10th Mt. Hut Huts. Really a very nice cabin at 11,300 ft and near the continental divide.

Does anyone know where the 10th Mountain Division is (origin of the huts)?

There were 16 people (you need that many to pay for it) in the group and we took turns doing the cooking. Accomodations were Ok, with one cooking and one heating stove. The bunk rooms were not heated and there was a really cool, no make that a down right frozen outhouse.

There's been lot's of snow this year and the depth at the cabin was as much as 5-7 ft. Yeah, you wouldn't want to try to hike in this time of the year without snow shoes.

About Time...

Yes, it's about time I added these, but I'll bet they're more fun now than they would have been a month ago.
And Darcey a little help. When I add pictures they are added to the top and not the bottom like I would expect - what's the secret????
So the pictures should probably be viewed from botom to top if you want sort of a chronology.

(note from Darcey - I fixed the pictures so they are in order top to bottom!)
