ATC for you Aviation gurus

Here's a little video that shows a bit of ATC and what I get to look forward to. So far it is the best ATC video that I've found, since there's not much out there. I don't know why just watching it makes me more excited to get going with it, so hopefully I get that long over due call soon (though they say the earliest I'll hear would be September)

Oh my gosh, don't anyone take this the wrong way, but how does this not turn you on?!?!? Though different from a pilot perspective. You get to hear all that chatter when on the frequency in the cockpit. When you hear your call sign and you are cleared for the takeoff, the option, or given a vector you feel like Superman recieveing inflight instruction from his Kryptonian Father. AWESOME!!

Well I ain't no aviation guru, but that was pretty cool! Sounds like fun, "the most stressful job in the world"!
September seems too far away - hope you get the call then or sooner!

I like that, I'm going to be like Superman's dad, let's try giving him a clearance and see if Superman can follow it.
Cessna 40CM Cleared to Greenville airport via IRX V210 MLC V583 PRX V278 GLH. Cross IRW at or above 5000, Climb and maintain 7000. Cleared to taxi runway 17L. contact tower on 126.9 when ready to takeoff.
That was good practice, the Greenville airport is actually in my training airspace that I'm using at school and will use in OKC.
Thanks Darcey! I hope so to!!!

What airport are we taking off from? 17L and 126.9 would have be believe KPWA. Are we going to S. Carolina?

Yup. you'd be right, and going to Greenville, Mississippi. I don't know what's there but it's on my training map so it sounded good to me. I probably would have lost you at IRX, it was suppose to be IRW.
